We are seeking faculty, fellows and residents who are interested in participating as committee members or a committee chair in the development of 3-5 actions and a recommended implementation plan that would advance the following Office of Education strategic priority:

(#5) Create best possible educational programs by leveraging the collective strengths of Bayview and JHH

The charge of this committee will be: 
  • To envision the future of education in 5-10 years as it relates to the strategic priority above.
  • To review and incorporate the latest research and evidence-based best practices as they relate to current and anticipated trends in the field.
  • To develop and propose 3-5 action items that will ensure Johns Hopkins is prepared to deliver training that will meet the challenges and opportunities of the envisioned future. We also encourage committees to think about one big idea that would be inspiring to pursue, but without an obvious implementation plan. 
  • To finalize and present a recommended implementation plan for the action items above. The committee will then hand off the plan to the appropriate parties for implementation.

We anticipate this to be a 6 month commitment, starting June 10, 2022 with, on average, a 1-hour, bi-weekly commitment. Committee members will be finalized mid-May. 

In addition to creating strategy for the department, participants will have the optional opportunity to engage in scholarship and educational program building. The committee will announce their findings during Medical Grand Rounds.
