Greetings! The Department of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins is conducting a study to help smokers who are scheduled for ELECTIVE SURGERY quit smoking. ONLY smokers who are scheduled to receive ELECTIVE SURGERY will be eligible for this study, and we will verify your surgery status with your medical doctor before we can enroll you in the study.

Before you begin, PLEASE NOTE that the entire survey can contain up to 20 questions and may take as long as 10 minutes to complete.

You may contact also the study staff at
bpru-1505@lists.johnshopkins.edu or 410-550-9497 with any questions.

If you are a smoker who is scheduled for elective surgery, do we have your permission to ask questions to see if you qualify for the research study?
